You and I are both here to help you get healthy.

I’m Jarod Reisin and like you, I play a lot of video games. Since 2010, I have been showing others how to both game a lot and stay fit and healthy. I can teach you exactly how to do that. But who am I to teach such a thing?

In my early 20’s, when becoming a pro athlete started to seem unlikely, I strayed from physical sports to set my crosshair on playing video games professionally.

That required a lot of sitting and training.

Unfortunately, that type of gaming lifestyle, coupled with my job, had destroyed my health. I went from athlete to fat-lete. I had gained over 60 lbs. I was out of shape, eating crap food, playing games all of the time, and did not know how to change my health. Does this sound familiar?

So, one day I took a video of myself.

This video was a reminder of what an UNHEALTHY gaming lifestyle can do.

That day was in late 2008. I was 28 years old. This was when I decided to turn my UNHEALTHY gaming lifestyle around. But where was I supposed to start?

Why Mind, Body, GAMING!?

After much research, I couldn’t find any instruction on how to be healthy yet still play a lot of video games. Everything out there was the usual “eat this new fad diet” or “workout like Arnold to be healthy”, but nothing was tailored for a gamer. In fact, most of the info I found told me to stop gaming.

There HAD to be a way I could play video games and still be healthy, I just had to figure out how. After some time, research, experimentation, and a lot of trial and error, I found a way. That leads us to now.

I created Mind, Body, GAMING! to share with you all that I have learned and know about being a healthy gamer, all in one place, made for you. From working out and fitness information, nutrition advice, and meditation practices, as well as aspects of gaming many don’t think about like posture, game session stretching, lighting, and even attitude. It all applies to you and your health, and I will cover it here.

I promise that you too can have a healthy lifestyle and play a lot of video games at the same time! I genuinely hope this may be useful to you on your journey.
